Hacking a classic bike into a fixie

This was an old, broken bike, that I got at the flea market for about 20€. It’s a classic bike, built fro steel tubing and lugs, with several speeds and freewheeling. Turned it into a fixed gear bike (also called a fixie), which is a fun bike to ride, and many argue that it’s biking like nature intended. I kept the front brake for safety, but normally you just put pressure backwards on the pedals.

Also, for the first time, I used parrafin instead of oil on the chain. It’s lower maintenance and higher performance at the same time, but requires reapplying after water is touching the chain.
